thinking is hard to do

it'll be either interesting or not, depending what my brain decides to express. it's a real toss of the dice for this blog. enjoy.

how's the weather?

okay, so i'm not usually a pessimist, but i'm really really starting to wonder about what's happening with the world this past year. i'm not even talking politics though. seriously, why are there so many "acts of god" happening to the human race lately? tsunamis, earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes... it's amazing how much has been happening all around the world in such a short amount of time. i watch a lot of movies and read a lot of fiction, so i'm pretty sure that it's not some aliens trying to exterminate us, or even two alien races battling for our planet. it sure seems like it though. some people think it's signs that the end of the world is near, but i don't think that it's so depressingly final like that. i figure that maybe it's about time that people think back to the days when the networks would play psa's on saturday mornings, talking about not polluting the environment and being nice to the new kid at school. not like the weather is affected by who's going to school or not, but the pollution issue has been around and we all know that global warming can account for most weather related problems. so far, all that's happened on the northwest coast has been a warmer than normal summer. but i bet that means snow will definitely suck for this winter. anyways, i think someone up there is trying to tell us to stop being so selfish and think about the guy beside us for a change. i mean, the joe average person would just care about what was happening in his or her "world" on any given day, because it's what affects him/her immediately. you don't start thinking about others unless you're affected by their actions or situations. it's probably gotten to the point that society is SO self-centered that it takes big-time cnn coverage for people to hear others say "hey, we live on this earth too!.. help us out, could you?". the erratic weather is just to get our attention. what we do to help others and bring the human race closer is (what i think) the ultimate goal.
